May 25, 2019 - Day 413 - Ezra 10

I am writing from my hotel in Graz, Austria.

Ezra 10:

The racism continues.

The people of the town are now apologizing for intermarrying, then there's a big list of all the people who did.  And it says that they all pledged to "put away their wives," yet we are not told what that means.

  1. Your assumptions are incorrect. God’s prohibition on marrying people from other cultures was to preserve their belief in the one true God. Every other culture worshiped idols. The intermarriage with Pagans always resulted in a falling away from God. It happened time and time again. But, Two women who where not Jews are in the lineage of Jesus. Rahab the harlot, rescued from the city of Jericho and Ruth the Moabite. These women renounced paganism and believed in the one true God. That has been and will always be the basis of acceptance into the family of God. Race has absolutely nothing to do with it.
