February 7, 2019 - Day 305 - 1 Kings 14
I am writing from my desk in Seattle, WA.
1 Kings 14:
Jeroboam's son is ill, so he asks his wife to go ask a prophet what is going to happen. Well, God lets the prophet know that this woman is heading his way. God (through the prophet) doesn't deliver the best news. Basically, the boy is going to die and Jeroboam is going to be ruined (but very descriptive), since he didn't listen to God. This was alluded to previously, but now a bit more direct.
Jeroboam reigned for twenty two years, then was succeeded by his son Nadab.
Meanwhile, the son of Solomon (Rehoboam) was king in Judah. The land of Judah was garbage too, as they pissed off God quite frequently.
Rehoboam eventually died and was succeeded by his son Abijah.
