February 11, 2019 - Day 309 - 1 Kings 18
I am writing from my desk in Seattle, WA.
1 Kings 18:
Okay so the famine is still going on. Obadiah hid some prophets in a cave and fed them. Elijah bumped into him and he became a bit frightened, thinking he came there to kill Ahab. The context clues here are nonexistent. Some of this is damn near impossible to follow.
Ahab thinks that Elijah is a troublemaker, but Elijah convinces him otherwise. He also reminds Ahab that it is he and his father that have caused problems.
The rest of the chapter appears to be a very long ritualistic animal sacrifice.
