January 9, 2019 - Day 276 - 2 Samuel 9

I am writing from my bed in Seattle, WA.

2 Samuel 9:

This opens with David wondering if anyone is left from house of Saul that he can be nice to.

A servant tells David that Jonathan has a son who is lame in both feet.  I assume this means he had polio or something like that.  His name was Mephibosheth.  Quite a mouthful.

David tells him he will give him some land and that he’s always welcome to eat with him.

The chapter ends with a reminder that he is lame in both feet.  They really want you to know this.
